![]() I loaded up T-Hunt and tried every weapon that has access to the muzzle brake, flash hider and/or compensator and was surprised by some of the results. Well, last night matchmaking wasn't finding me a game for some reason so I decided to do some science instead. I'd always just stuck the muzzle brake on everything that has an ACOG and the Flash Hider on everything that doesn't. I've put about 1000hrs into this game, finished Plat or Diamond in every season, but I'd never taken the time to work out which weapons worked best with which barrel attachments. If you just want to know which attachments to use on which weapons and aren't interested in the whys and the wherefores, there's a TL DR list at the end. However, some laws restrict the use of flash hiders, and some states banned this equipment. When it comes to legalities, both equipment should not be attached to a threaded barrel because that is prohibited in several states. Since it tries to hide the flare of the guns produced by the gas, it disrupts air as much as possible and creates drawbacks. The gas dispersion of flash suppressor vs compensator, however, is not that impressive. It helps with the drawbacks, upward and side to side motion. The equipment at the tip of the barrel reroutes and controls the air in different ports. ![]() The muzzle compensator has a unique air system and fast follow-up shots. It can somehow control drawbacks but in a very minimal difference. The increased rate of drawback affects the accurate target shooting on the range, and with the help of the compensator, the muzzle climb is somehow stabilized.įlash suppressors have a say in accurate target acquisition, especially when shooting in low light. ![]() Muzzle compensators give a very significant effect on accurate shots compared to flash suppressors.
